no previous part Part 1 of New workshop build! series no next part

I have finally started construction on my new shop! I ended up waiting a little longer then planned because I have 4 large trees cut down first. I am planning on having these trees (2 red oak, 1 white oak and 1 beach) sawed up into boards then stacking it in the barn to dry.

Dug and poured footings this week, shop will be 20×40 with a 8×12 room that has exterior access for storage and yard equiptment! I will have the masonry foundation built this weekend to allow for a crawlspace to run my dust collection system in. I chose to do this vs a slab so I can easily change it in the future if (When) the need arises! I am placing my table saw in the middle of the room and did not want hose hanging down from the ceiling.

I have no clue why LJ is inputting that picture upside down? Any suggestions? It is right side up on my phone and computer.

And one heck of a mason! How did you get the picture to flip over? I tried three times and it kept putting it upside down?

Well good old North Carolina weather has stopped work on the shop and filled the footings with water before I could get the block water proofed. Now to sit and wait for the rain to move out friday

That’s a great build and design, looks like it will be the perfect shop.
