I am a retired US Marine who has always had a fondness for working with wood. After retiring from "the corps" I worked for 16 years with a company that processes canned and frozen vegetables. It was the old Green Giant that has changed hands numerous times, having been owned by Pilsbury, Grand Metropolitan and now Seneca Foods. During this time I also started a lavender farm and soon found myself with my hands about as full as they could get, so I opted to retire from canning corn for a living and devote myself full time to our lavender farm. During the winter months, I manage to enjoy working with wood as much as possible. My shop right now is very small and cramped but hopefully in the near future I'll be able to remedy that with a brand new custom woodworking shop. I always think back to my wood shop days in school. You guys know what I mean - all the room in the world with plenty of storage space and all the tools a person can want. *GRIN*
