Sadly I must report that Gary Kemper, known as GaryK has passed away this Wednesday past.

I am Gary’s brother-in-law and told his wife Chelfre that I would advise his friends on LumberJocks…!
I know he was an incredibly gifted man and most of you saw just how gifted he was as created so many masterpieces.

We will miss him greatly.

Tom

This is most shocking news, Gary was one of the most talented people on LJs. My deepest regrets and heart felt simply to his wife and family . May he rest in peace

His memory will be eternal here on LJs. I followed his dining table/chair build and felt as though I had actually met him. Raw God given talent and work born skill. His presence here will be missed.

Tom,

Our sincere condolences to all Gary’s family and friends. He was, indeed, incredibly gifted and we learned a great deal from the blogs he shared over the years here on LJs. We will certainly miss his contributions to this woodworking community.

My first thoughts were of how sad I was that we lost such a great LumberJock. I knew him so little compared to his family. My condolences to your family and friends.

I am truly saddened by this news. Gary was one of the first people I “buddied” because I found his work inspiring. What a loss….. Very sad.

God bless you GaryK.

Such a great talent. I was just telling someone this week about the birdcage he made from a 2×4. My condolences.

Sorry for your loss. My condolences to his family and close friends. I know he had at least one young child. I was searching for bandsaw reviews and his review on here is what I found and what led to me joining this site over four years ago.
