I am a 26 year old history teacher in Massachusetts, and I live in the "great" state of Rhode Island (can't wait to move back to Chicago or maybe... Vegas?). I am in the middle of my fourth year of teaching and I plan to get my master's degree in education and become an athletic director somewhere around Chicago.
I really like building furniture, especially mission style, arts & crafts, e.t.c. I also enjoy smaller projects like jewelry boxes, cutting boards, and smaller things such as those.
It really seems that a lot of my effort goes into working on my house instead of woodworking... but that only means more money when we sell ourhouse, and a bigger, better workshop for me!
I have been married to my wife, Jill, since June of '05, and hopefully we'll be starting a family soon.

Good to see you here, this is a great site. I have been building up my motivation to make a few chess boards and each time I see another one I get more excited. Nice work, I look forward to seeing more.
