Location: Lafayette, CA
Website:

I teach a shop class called Fabrication and Design at Acalanes High School in Lafayette, California.
The class encompasses Woodworking, Metalworking, Jewelry, CNC Programming on two overhead pin routers, and, anything else my students can come up with.

I have worked repairing and restoring craftsman style antiques, spent twenty years working for a hardwood lumber company, built Japanese shoji screens, and, designed and built fine furniture.

My latest incarnation (for the last 12 years) has been as a shop teacher.

Welcome to Lumber Jocks! This is a great place to get – or give – advice about woodworking on the forums and the project posts are a wonderful source of new ideas. I look forward to seeing your projects and posts.

To get the most feedback on your projects, it’s best to only post 1 or 2 at a time. This way you will get feedback over several days and from a wide variety of members.

Please enjoy your membership.

Welcome to Lumberjocks. The projects are an inspiration, the information is priceless and the people are supportive. The only problem is, the site can get addictive.

God Bless

Welcome to Lumberjocks, MrB. It obvious that your are a pretty darn good instructor form viewing your students work. Keep it up. We need good teachers, especially here in California. It is good to see that we have someone inspiring our next generation. Rand

Hi there,
Welcome to LumberJocks… I joined the site myself a few months ago and will give you fair warning, this site is VERY ADDICTIVE, VERY EDUCATIONAL, and VERY FUN…. so sit back, enjoy the ride and learn from the other LJ’s as they are a group of extremely talented people that are also very friendly…

Enjoy your time here on LJ and pass the word to any of your woodworking buddies about us…

Wisty
