« Part 4: Hanging Rods and Pegs Part 5 of Making an Earring Rack series no next part

This time around, I chopped the mortises to recess some keyhole hanging brackets into the vertical pieces. Then it was down to glue and finish.

Looks awesome, Mos.

Did you take any pics of how earrings hang on this? As a non-earring wearer I’m not sure I get what each aspect is for.

Thanks Todd. Unfortunately, not enough lol I have this one of hanging earrings on the dowel rods.

The “post” type earrings will go in the slots, and the hanging type ones as pictured above. I’ll have to see if I have a picture on my phone, I don’t on the camera… Will see if I can get a picture from the recipient once they’ve got it loaded up

the music makes the whole process seem so dramatic! I made 18 similar racks over the past few weeks for Christmas presents. I’ll post them sometime when I get the chance . . . but without the dramatic music, unfortunately.

Charles, I like the music as it has a certain thought provoking undertone to it. I just figured it’d be nicer than listening to just the sounds of me working (which during finish isn’t much lol)

Thanks Tony :-)
