My shop is about 40 minutes from town. So when I got a great deal on a saw and I wanted to get it set up right away, I didn’t want to wait a week or two to get a couple buddies to help me. I wanted to do it right then! Home Depot used a fork lift to place it in the back of my truck. It would be up to me to get it out. Part 2: What do YOU do with your scraps?

I checked and it’s been about 6 months since we had a “scraps” discussion on LJ’s. I learned I’m not alone in this: I can’t bear to throw away odd scraps and cutoffs. But they make a huge mess in my shop. I started with a small box (lower left) and then I added another box (right) and then I just gave up :) So there are two questions: What uses do you find for scraps? and How do you keep your shop neat?

(I posted some of this on someone else’s Forum post and thought, that’s pretty good I ought to have that post on my own site, I’ve even got a blog called Setting up Shop, so here it is.
