Workshop Information

Location
United States
Workshop in my 2 car (yeah, right) garage.

Houses: Near full width work bench with mitre saw and drill press stations.

Contains 2 pull out drawers at bottom, large tool storage, pull out panel with mounted small drawers for bits and pieces storage, air compressor, electrical outlets above bench and extra lighting.

In the last pictures I'm temporarily storing a TS cross cut sled attached to the left of the drill press area. Sorry it's blocking the view of the pull out panel and the storage area located there.

Richard, it looks like you have put together a pretty nice shop to work in. You have organized your hand tools well and the pegboard is a good way to keep them both organized and readily to use. The bench that you put in there does the job. It is sturdy, provides quite a bit of work surface and helps with your shop organization. I have come to favor this design for a miter station. Originally I built mine with extensions for the saw but this limits the availability of the bench when the saw is not in use. Leveling the saw to the bench, as you have done, allows full use of the rest of the bench for other operations.

Thanks for the pictures. I enjoyed taking a tour of your shop.

I had to take a double and triple take on it… I finally noticed how you overlapped the miter saw table over the foot of the drill press to maximize space… You have an excellent use of space there!
