I used an old short piece of cherry wood to build my version of the Wine Glass Holder for a Wine Bottle. No sense in letting a good piece of wood going to waste!!

Swirl Cutting Board

Earlier this month I was looking for more information on how to make a Swirl Cutting board. I ended up going at it alone and here are some of the results. My daughter and one of her old college roommates took two of the four that I made.

This project really proved to me the importance of using clamping cauls. The end results were that the cauls kept things somewhat lined up and they reduced the amount of finish sanding that was needed.

Each board is approximately 12” x 12” and is made of maple and walnut.
