Location: St. Louis Missouri

I have been lucky enough to be born into a woodworking family. I am a doctor by profession, but love woodworking as my passion and hobby. My workshop is my place to be. Most of my projects are furniture and cabinetry. I built all the cabinets for my kitchen last year and it was so worth it. I use each project as an opportunity to advance my skills and acquire more tools. I love every aspect of woodworking except sanding. My festool sanders can't even seem to shake my distain for sanding.

-- Every project is an opportunity to acquire new tools and any solution that requires buying a new tool is the correct one.

Because I often get asked questions by new members I’ve included the answers to the most( FAQ) along with my welcoming message to LJs.
You should know that posting questions or projects here (your profile page) will not get you very many responses’ just because it’s your profile page not part of a main forum. To post in a main forum read below.
Want to know how to post something?
See the drop-down box underneath my Lumberjocks in the upper right hand corner. Click on the arrow and select which type of posting you want to make (Project, Blog entry, Forum topic). This will take you to the appropriate page and you just fill in the form.
Sending Private messages(PMs) to other members
Click on the word” home” next to the profile picture of the member you want to contact ,then click on “send message”

I totally share your dislike for sanding… Ever tried scrapers?

Hello john,

First of all you have some nice project, especialy the mitersaw workstation. Thats why i wanted to ask you (btw. Im new to all of this so i dont know if its fair to ask ) if you could provide me with som mesermeants so i can build my own station.
