Location: Tustin, CA

I'm a retired electrical engineer, having worked in communications most of my career. I was very involved in the creation of the 56Kbps modem and have done some interesting work in Digital Subscriber Line modems, and voice over IP. I hold 32 US patents.

Woodworking wise, I started woodworking when I retired, taking classes at Cerritos College. Beyond normal flatwork projects, I've concentrated in veneer and carving and now teach classes in both subjects. I've started taking on commission work and have enough to keep me busy, although I work very slowly because of other demands on my time.

Welcome to LJs, Mike. I was wondering if you were already a member and I just missed you. It looks like you’ve made some more great projects since I last saw you at Cerritos.

Glad you joined LJs.

Welcome to Lumberjocks. The projects are an inspiration, the information is priceless and the people are supportive. The only problem is, the site can get addictive.

God Bless

Hi Mike,

I think I recognize you from Cerritos. Did you sell me a little shoulder plane?

Welcome to LJ.

I did sell you that little plane. And I remember you and your wife were restoring a Craftsman style house. Looking at your profile it appears you’ve made a lot of progress. Thanks for the note.
