I bought a tool chest full of great tools a few weeks ago and over the past week I’ve had time to clean them up and get them in working order. I started with the best- this Type 3 Bedrock 608. It had some rust and obviously hadn’t been used in a long time but it was in pretty good shape other than a broken tote.

Here are a few before pics.

Here are some afters. It cleaned up very well. This is my first bedrock and I understand why everyone loves them.

Nice, I have a type 3 608C too. Pretty hefty plane, it should last another lifetime…or two.

You did a great job on that 608C, Mike! My 608 is a type 4—same round sided body style as yours, though not corrugated, with the two line lever cap. I’m sure you will love using yours as much as I love mine.
