Does anybody know of a woodworking club/guild/organization in the Oklahoma city or Edmond area? I’m about to move there and can’t find anything online closer than Tulsa which is farther than I want to drive. I’m kinda new to the craft and wood like local resources such as mentors to help get me get my shop started. Any help wood greatly be appreciated. Thank you

I don’t know of any but sure wish that I did. I could use some of the same help. I do know that Moore/Norman technology has some carpentry classes, and there is a furniture maker on NW 10th and Western that you can stop by and talk to. He is very good and super nice, he may be able to mentor you.

Welcome to LumberJocks Mike, I don’t know of any myself. There are several LumberJocks here in Oklahoma I’m sure would love the opportunity to meet with you and pass on any knowledge they might have.

There is a woodcraft store on May and Britton that offers classes and free demonstrations every so often that might be of interest.

Thanks for the pointers guys, I’m looking forward to getting moved down there and getting my tools out of storage.
