I really want to build something like that for a friends kid. I’m afraid, however, that by the time I finish the project, the “little” ones would have graduated college!!

Those are cool. I showed them to my son. I also went to a link on this guy’s website http://www.craftsmanshipmuseum.com/index.html and thought you might appreciate some of the other levels of detail within, like Michel Lefaivre, who created 1/3 scaled working models of earlier firearms. Lots of engine makers there as well.
