CANOPY FOR BED

I’ve been working feverishly on the bed canopy and this is why I haven’t posted of late. [Incidentally, hello everyone] Here are the latest photos of the canopy on the bed. It turned out to have a lot of parts that took awhile to create. Dozens of washers and glue on bosses. Problems that had to be solved. You name it. It certainly turned out to be more than the weekend project I thought it was going to be.
The hoist trolley comes next once the canopy is completely finished. What I need to do to finish the canopy can be done here in my bedroom.
Does it look industrial?
Take care and I’ll be updating the progress on both finishing the canopy and then the trolley.

Here’s the trolley trucks. They turned out cool enough that I am redesiging the bogies to carry the cross beam. They look pretty good but still need to be sanded. I don’t go overboard because I design and build machinery not fine furniture.

Take care and I’ll be back.
