6-pack holder

I’d like to thank Ronstar for this idea and the dimensioning. My uncle is a brewer, and this was the perfect gift for him. The dimensions Ronstart gave are perfect (although as I was building it seemed small, it’s surprising how small beer bottles are), and the beer fits nice and tight. I was about a 32nd off on the inside ply, and one side is a little tight, so I would maybe have planed down the 3/4” a 32nd if I did this again.

I went with the dock cleats, which worked well.

I made a custom size frame for a band’s screen print I bought at their concert (Cloud Cult).

Made it out of Walnut and Maple. Glued the two together, I don’t do veneers. Splined the corners on the table saw.

Still looking for the best way to glue 45s. Every clamp I have used is not effective. Any recommendations are welcome. Please let me know what you do.

I made the base fit snug so it would hold the Peace, but loose enough that if my Aunt wanted to put it in a window stool she could.

Simple Bookshelf

Not my first project, just the first I’ve uploaded. The art teacher wanted a shelf to fit in a little spot in her classroom, and was going to buy cheap plastic shelving, but I wasn’t about to allow that.

No mechanical fasteners , just a few finish nails in the finish frame uprights.

Dadoed the shelves. Had some students do some of the sanding, hence where you see where they broke through the top layer of the 3/4” ply. Also added another coat of poly after the pictures.

Overall turned out well, I was very pleased at how sturdy it was. Of course the spot where she wanted it, the floor dips about three quarters of an inch, so it’s shimmed. However it does sit flat on something level.

Some advice needed, i used quarter inch ply for the back, however I didn’t know how to cover up the end of the ply where it sticks up over the last shelf. I needed a back on the top shelf, I just didn’t know how to run the frame over it. I stained it, and it looks okay, but there is obviously a solution, so any suggestions are welcome.

Thanks for looking.
