I am a recreational woodworker who has to split time with a number of other hobbies. I love the outdoors, so most of my woodworking is done in my shop during our wonderful Wisconsin winters. I was fortunate to have a father who got me interested in woodworking at a young age and has shared many of his skills with me. Most of my projects are practical home improvement-related: bookcases, a TV stand, built-ins, etc. I have spent and continue to spend a great deal of time developing my new workshop. I built a 24'x36' detached garage about 5 years ago and partitioned off a 12' x 24' space to serve as my workshop. Future projects include a built-in gas fireplace for my rec room in the basement and built-in floor-to-ceiling bookcases for my office.
