My first timber framed porch.

My try at timber framing. Made sketchup model. Found fallen logs in wood, took them out, made them square using chainsaw and axe. Then Lots of googling and learning later it all came together.

Nice job. I also did a timber frame entry but mine was pretty much right angles. Not nearly as complex as a canted entry. Hats off to ya for attempting that on your first try. I’d like to do another but I don’t have another front door.

Thanks! Next summer I plan to make a timber framed greenhouse, still working on design.
