A fellow Lumber Jock contacted me a while back mentioning a jig contest over on Fine Wood Working. He thought I should enter my miter spline jig in the mix. Well, I procrastinated for a while mainly due to me not being sure if my jig was good enough. Do I really want to embarrass myself putting my work up against seasoned talented woodworkers?

Long story short I got to thinking that one of the best woodworkers I know of thought I should enter it…... So maybe there is something there. I went ahead and submitted it yesterday squeaking by the deadline ….. bearly.

Here is the link : Miter Spline Jig

Well wish me luck…. Lord knows I need it….lol

Dan, You were right to enter this into the contest. It is a great little jig! You have a really good chance of winning. Good luck!

Thanks Mike! I’m crossing my fingers on this end. I honestly don’t think anything will come of it, but I’m glad I did enter. Never know till you try …..right? (wow I been feeding that line to my kids all these years and I just now start listening to myself…. Shhh… Don’t tell my kids…lol)

I won’t wish you luck, as that jig doesn’t need any. It can stand on its own.

Thanks for the support yall. It’s very cool to have such an incredibly talented group support one another. After looking around the other entries I feel like a snow ball in hell right about now, but still glad I entered. To think I have something in the mix is worth it to me.

Thanks again!
