Here are the bats after applying four light coats of paint (from a can so sprayed).

From Baseball Project

I wanted the red bat to have a consistent color for the handle so mixed up a red dye and applied it like a stain. I don’t like the look right now, but when we have a few clear coat finish and black or white baseball tape on the handle – it’s going to look awesome! Believe me Mitch.

For the black bat (Sean’s), I am going with a natural maple handle that will have black tape as the grip.

not too many of these projects on here. its always nice to see something different. I did see norm make a bat one time on NYW. It was an interesting project. I’d love to try it someday if I ever get a lathe. i’ll keep reading along.
