Yup – I couldn’t wait. I took that little bit of purple heart and Peruvian walnut and chopped it into little tiny pieces. The center is glued. I was dry fitting the outside border. Thought I would snap a work in progress picture.

I didn’t get to do much lumber-jocking this week but I did repair the dryer, sliding glass door tack and van. I’ll take my little bit of progress and be thankful.

I think I’ll be able to do a little good this weekend but my wood working window will be AM hours only. It is still hot as a stove here in Dallas, I must have lost ten pounds in an hour and a half tonight! Martha said what I lost in sweat I gained in stink – So I hugged her BWWWAHHHH HAH ha hah ha ha hah! ..... oh excuse me…. I was having a moment.

Oh – interesting – those roundish spots near the bottom the picture are sweat drops. All I need is some tears because I caught the mosquito who was feeding off me this evening.

Looks like you’re off and running—congratulations. Of course, now the trick is to be able to keep at it without too much interference. I know what you mean about those household repairs. I need to work on my lawn tractor tomorrow and hope it doesn’t take over half a day, and then cut up a tree with the old chainsaw. Oh well, it’s a holiday weekend so there’ll be an extra day. Have fun!
