Hi, for anyone in Australia who may be interested in making pedal cars and go karts, in fact anything with wheels.
Am always on the lookout for wheels for ride on toys, especially those types used on golf buggies and perambulators.
Found a supplier – Hobby Wheels
Two types I am interested in – golf cart wheels rated at 40kg and hobby wheels rated at 50kg
There are two shops not too far away from me in Batemans Bay.
Can also buy online, and to look at the prices, have to register.
Not in the market right now, but no doubt will be sometime in the near future, would like to design and build a pedal car.
Even when I was a kid in the 1960’s it was a challenge to get any kind of decent wheel to make go-karts, or what some would call a billy cart. Sure I could make wooden wheels, but they were real teeth rattlers.
Made a scooter with wooden wheels for my nephew once, that was a real teeth rattler. Had more fun making it that he did using it, not too often i must say.
Kids today don’t know how good they have it.
Anyway, check out the website – they have all sorts of wheels, including pneumatic and castors and other industrial applications.
