Situated in the second bedroom of my 850 sq. foot apartment, lies my little woodworking haven. I find the use of hand tools beneficial in this setting due to its reduction of sawdust and noise. My dog, Razor, loves to chew on wood shavings.

Matthew, you have an interesting shop space in which to work. It is well organized and it is nice to see a woodworker with a traditional approach. It simply is not a necessity to have a shop full of power tools to be a woodworker. I have developed a regret for ignoring my hand skills and focusing strictly on a power tool approach to my woodworking endeavors, but am now working to correct this deficiency.

It is nice to see your “apprentice” as well.

Thanks for the pictures. I enjoyed visiting your shop.

Your shop is reflected in your work. Fine, orderly, quality, only what is necessary…

The space may be small but it looks like you may achieve the Zen of woodworking in this environment.

I have to have a larger space because of my business. Remodeling came first – woodworking second. The shop supports my needs as a remodeler to modify or customize work. Then I got interested in fine woodworking and design.

I admire your hand tools. Love the shop dog.

Nice at least you don’t have to get dress to go to the shop. Mine is a little frisky at the moment need to layer up.

Great little shop. One could make alot in there. Is the dog a product of a recent carving project? ;-)
