Our youngest granddaughter spent the weekend with us. She is a tiny thing but smart as a whip. She will be three in May. I am making a UT Longhorn emblem at my son-in-laws request so I thought it would be good to get her involved to document the event.

I had the boards laid out and glued up and ready to transfer the hand drawn pattern to the wood. So it was time for Bella to lend a hand.

I set up the folding two step stool and got her in position. Grandma was the photographer.

First we had to draw a line.

Then we used a small saw to make the cut.

Then it was time to apply the blue painters tape (her favorite “tool” in the shop)

And a job well done if I may say so myself.

Note: House shoes make the work easy and comfortable too! :-)
God I love this kid.

I love working with my 4 year old grandson in the shop. You can’t buy that kind of time with them as they get older. He now has his own tools and uses everyone of them.

What a cutie! I had my 5 year old granddaughter in the shop today and made her a “Woodshaver” top. Grandkids are the best!
