Does not do its only job!

Does not do its only job!

So let me start off by saying I was really excited to get this on sale for $20. I had been wanting the wixey but no local stores had it so it would have been $35+shipping. Out of the box this thing feels really good. Its nice and heavy, and it feels of good quality. I popped it out and turned it on. I set it on the Cast iron of the table saw a few inches from the blade, hit the “calibrate” button and placed it on the blade. I was really impressed on how the measurement changed as ...

Great saw, but not for the money

Great saw, but not for the money

So let me start off by saying this review is based on 6 months of hobbyist work and comparing to other saws on the market. Last summer, I had an accident with an old .113 table saw. My parents would not let me use another table saw unless I got a SawStop. So being 16 (not much of a budget) i went with the cheapest one; the contractor saw with 30” rails. Alright so let me start off by saying that I got this saw for free hardly used so for me I couldn’t be happier. If I were to pay the $1200 price tag, I might think twice. I have had this saw for about 2 years and have thrown everything at it including re-sawing 12” ash logs. The saw handled it fine. As you may know, i’m building a 12” jointer. I needed a multi-ribbed v-belt so i called saw stop asking if i could buy that part from my table saw, for my jointer. The guy asked me my name and when he saw that i had a sawstop he said he would send it for free! I also asked if they can sharpen their own blades, (I like the one it came with) and he just sent me another one of those for free as well! 23 hours later i am sitting here with a new and free belt and blade. Now that is som...

An awesome sander at an awesome price.

An awesome sander at an awesome price.

Now I am not one to have much faith in Ryobi tools at all, but when I saw this sander unopened at a yard sale for $25 I just had to pick it up. I am sure happy I did. This sander is great for sanding any types of curves weather inside or out. The sander comes with 5 different sized rubber fittings that hold sleeves up to 2 inches. The quill stroke on this machine is 5/8”. I was surprised and pleased to find a heavy cast iron top on a Ryobi tool. This thing also has LOTS OF POWER. I ran ...
