Just got back from the lumber yard. This is gonna be a quick post, and a test run to see if I can figure out how to add photos to the blog body. Anyhow, took the 2 year old with me (that was a challenge) and we picked out some S4S birch 1×3’s, 1×4’s, and 1×6’s for the framework. Next trip will be for some maple to fill in the headboard panels and make the slats.

Here are a couple pix of the birch….garage is kinda dark, and if I raise the door the kid will make a run for it!

Update – Looks like I am not quite smart enough to embed pix yet, but I will keep workin on it!

Update #2 – Looks at me go!!!! I will be an I-T specialist before ya know it!

This may help for posting pix for blogs and other posts:

For posting project pix, you don’t need to put the pix on another place (photobucket) first. You can upload them directly from your home computer.

Hope this helps.

WOW, a 2 year old at the lumber yard? You’re way ahead of me. My daughter is close to 3 now so things are getting a little easier. She has really cut in to my shop time, but it’s a fair trade. I can’t wait to get her out there with me. She already has some Bosch tools and is good with a hammer on her cobbler set. Enjoy making your crib, I sure had fun making hers. you can see it and her highchair on my projects.

nice. what hardware are you using. I went with products america and bought the hidden hardware set, despite teh fact that I chose not to hide the hardware. Not sure if that was the best idea or not.
