« Part 4: Tool Marks? Posh. That's Nothin'. Part 5 of Jacaranda Wing-ed Bowl series no next part

I’ve opted to go the route of few words in this entry. The description is in the photos.
If the words are too small, Ctrl +,+,+ should enlarge it.

And, just for laughs, this is me, trying to make Butterflies. I’ll use this for something in the future. (I throw nothing away.

I’ve tried it before, Lew. It didn’t work well. I got the idea from someone who made wooden angels as tree ornaments. This is how: Turn the shape in the round; run the cylindrical Thing across the bandsaw, making a flat object by cutting a slab out of the center. In this case (my “butterflies”), my plan was to just cut them in half, so I could have two for the price of one. I’m not gonna do that with this, ‘cuz I’m really no good at cutting the spaces for them. Besides which, they’re not big enough to go deep enough into the wood. And to make them thick enough, they’d have been too big for the purpose.
So many words. I need a nap.

Mark I’ve been reading the blogs. I keep checking to see if you made the inside of the bowl any larger or if you are finished. Do you have a picture of it sitting on a table?

John, it’s in a box, thinking about what it wants to do when it grows up.
