« Part 2: Learning & More Jigs Part 3 of Faery Mirrors Build series Part 4: Lap Joints, Router Days and Dry Fit »

So here is one of the frames laid up to mark the half lap for the top brace. This joint is a little challenging as one side is curved, it will be routed very carefully with a 1/8th bit and then filed to size for a tight fit.

The curves were cut on the bandsaw, then one side sanded smooth on the belt sander, then stick the two together with double sided tape and route the second side with a bearing guided templete bit on the router table, then back to the belt sander while they are still stuck together.

-- If someone tells you you have enough tools and don't need any more, stop talking to them, you don't need that kind of negativity in your life.
