I have been building houses, boats and furniture for about 35 years but this is my first attempt at communicating with others. It will take me awhile to figure out the picture thing and other pad related issues but here goes. Thanks for the welcoming greetings. As you can guess, my passion now is Louis furniture. I plan a Louis 15 bombe chest or desk as soon as I figure out how to get plans to build a router powered milling machine.

Welcome to LJ. I’m sure you will enjoy sharing with all the great people on this site. Posting and responding to other’s posts is real easy, and your projects will be preserved in your gallery and your blogs and other posts will be kept readily available for you and others to see. Getting started is usually a little awkward, but you will be an old hand at it pretty quick. Please just ask if you need help. I will be glad to help you and I’m sure many others will too.

Welcome to LJ’s
If you are interested in Louis 15th furniture I must ask do you do marquetry? If so we have a small but active group of students of the art here and would welcome your input. You can find some of us at the chevalet clubhouse but if you do a search for “marquetry” you will find more.

I look forward to your future posts.

PS: if you add a signature line with your first name in it we’ll stop calling you Louis (unless that is your name as well as your passion)

Have your say...
