Job: Home renovation.
Wood skill level, according to people who don't work with wood: Impressive
Wood skill level, according to the pros: Sad
DIY: Anything except roofs, gas lines and cars.
Why I joined LJ: 1) To log my growing number of projects. 2) To ask the occasional question when I hit a wall; we live in a rural area with limited face-to-face contact with experts. 3) Bailed from another woodworking forum due to post-count snobbery.

Welcome to Lumberjocks. Sad that your other forum was not too satisfying. I’m pretty happy here at LJ, but I do wish they’d improve a few things about the site. Overall, the community and resources are great.
