Clocks for Christmas

Trying to get things caught up after the end of year rush and realized I hadn’t posted my Christmas 2008 project(s). This past year’s presents for my husbands employees were clocks. Since I needed to make so many I thought I would just add a few more for family and friends. Grand total of 24 clocks for gifts and 1 different one for myself. These clocks were my own design. Tried to keep it fairly simple since there were so many to make. What do you think?
Before I know it will be time to start thinking/working on next years presents.

My son’s girlfriend is graduating in May with a Master’s and her sister is graduating with a PhD, so I thought I would do something special for them. I was able to stack cut these album covers (1/4”BB) on the scroll saw. The faces were intentionally blurred (I promised they would be incognito).

These cutting boards were made for the Christmas of 2005. There were I believe 19 of them made and though they look identical they are not. Why are they not identical you ask?
Because my miter gauge was off a tinsey bit and so sizing had to change to fit the pieces together.
Anyway, they are all made of a mix of maple, walnut and mahogeny and finished with mineral oil.

DVD, Video storage

I just updated the pictures to use for entry in the secret compartment contest. This was the first piece of non-shop furniture I ever made. The plan came from Wood magazine and was made with red oak and oak ply. I decided to add 2 hidden compartments (1 on each side). These secret compartments were not in the plan but I thought they would be useful because my son is a police officer and can use the hiding place for one of his small pistols.
