I made about 4 blog posts about the steam bending.

First one:

Building the table and making the pins was a hassle. Buying
the backstrap system was an expense. Making the first
couple of forms I overthought them. Now I make a
2.25” plywood blank and bandsaw out the shape,
skipping the template approach.
