My first entry into the workshop area includes my dust and chip collector I built with a custom made Thien baffle and a Harbor freight dust collector. Works flawlessly.
The second and third photos are of my new CNC router controller I built. I quickly french fried the center stepper motor driver when I started the router with a bad motor cable.
Yes the blue LED lights make the CNC run faster and better, so stop asking. ; )

Thanks Splinterman, I think everybody should have one of these.
It works incredibly well for my CNC router table. I would have
to say that it removes 97-98 % of all dust and chips. Amazing.
Here’s the thread on how to build one:
http://www.instructables.com/id/Making-a-cyclone-chip-separator-for-a-dust-collect/
This is the original THIEN baffle concept. They both work great, mine just eliminates
some of the angles by drawing air into the side of the original dust collector chamber
and exhausting right out of the squirrel cage near the motor. The THIEN baffle here
can be used with any vacuum system to catch dust and chips. Like I said, they both
work great, I just happened to find a deal on the Harbor Freight dust collector and
went from there.
Here’s the THIEN link: http://www.cgallery.com/jpthien/cy.htm
Here’s another Jock’s variation to the same end:

Give it a shot, even if it’s with a shop vac.

When I get time I’m going to make me one of those. Your control set up looks great.
