I set up shop in my basement. After being uprooted from a nice little shop in Ohio, I have tried to hedge against the vagaries of corporate employment by making everything as portable as possible.
The majority of the tools are on castors so I can reconfigure as needed. My wife calls the shop “The Man Cave”.

Lew, this looks like a pretty nice retreat to me. It loooks like you have plenty going on in there but you have organized it well. Making the major tools mobile is almost a necessity for those of us with smaller shop spaces. I like the cabinety that you have added for storage and combining a bench with lumber storage is a good space saving idea. I also like you hand tool storage cabinet. I have been meaning to build one of these. They occupy a relatively small amount of wall space but help keep a ton to tools organized and available.
Thanks for posting the pictures. I enjoyed touring your shop.

I like the bed frame with the headboard. I want to try and build a head board like that. Can you share how to?
