Alternative to Electric Branding Irons

I’ve been thinking about getting a custom branding iron to mark my projects for “posterity”, but frankly the relatively high cost has been a hurdle.

Today I came across an alternative method using a chemical solution of ammonium chloride and heat to create a similar effect. I haven’t tried it yet but when I do I will blog more about the results.

Really interesting.
Just ordered a branding iron…
But I guess this can be used for many purposes.
