You're right, now I see it was a mistake in editing. The gears are made of beech, the frame is made of cherry. In some ways been a mistake in the text ….

    Hi LesB
Thanks for the info on the band saw blades, I have put the site on to my favorites, and may order a 32TPI blade and see how it works. I have already received the 24TPI blade I bought from the net, but have not put it on my saw yet. Once I have a chance to try it out, I will post the results, and if the cut is not real clean, I will be trying a 32TPI blade. One of the many things I have learned so far in woodworking, is to make the cut as exact as possible without cutting too much off, this makes the final correction less work and not so time consuming to get a perfect (close to perfect) fit. With the cutting of metal, the less edge clean up and perfecting, I am assuming is also the key. Saving time, and using it for moving forward in the project. work hard and do right it's mic

Welcome to Lumberjocks. The projects are an inspiration, the information is priceless and the people are supportive. The only problem is, the site can get addictive.

    God Bless
