Retired draftsman. Woodcarver, woodworker. Biggest thing I've carved is an 8' Western Red Cedar totem pole using traditional Northwest Coast Indian hand tools. I make all kinds of things. Lately I have been obsessed with making wooden games with Shogi and Rummikub being my latest. My shop is small and I have alot of baby crib headboards. At one time I had 350 brand new Canadian maple and ash headboards. I dismantled them and saved the spindles and other pieces. I also get alot of wood from friends. Most of the things I make depend on the wood I have on time. I rarely buy wood unless it is for something large. I have a large Powermatic 66 5HP cabinet table saw in my garage. This was before it was bought out by Jet and was made in the good 'ol US of A. I really love woodworking. It is always on my mind. When I was making my didgeridoo and dreamt about it every night going over what I wanted to do. I even thought about it when I go on my 1 1/2 walks each day. I think I'm insane!! But I love the feeling.
