79 posts in 709 days Location: Orange County, California I love building things! Got started with my Dad way back when, helping him do home repair projects (okay, 'helping' is a relative term). My first adult job was as a farrier (a blacksmith specializing in horseshoeing), and I've done metalworking ever since. I left horseshoeing in 1985 and got into carpentry, eventually becoming a licensed general contractor. My interests were always toward cabinetmaking and finish work, and I ran a custom cabinet shop for a while.
