I love building things!
Got started with my Dad way back when, helping him do home repair projects (okay, 'helping' is a relative term). My first adult job was as a farrier (a blacksmith specializing in horseshoeing), and I've done metalworking ever since.
I left horseshoeing in 1985 and got into carpentry, eventually becoming a licensed general contractor. My interests were always toward cabinetmaking and finish work, and I ran a custom cabinet shop for a while.
Since I'm a professional Magician, I often use my fabricating skills to build props for myself and other performers.

It’s kind of nice to be able to make tooling for the Craftsman monotube lathe I picked up last year for $100 (yep, a hundred bucks…AND it came with faceplates, extra centers, and a four-jaw Craftsman lathe chuck!!!). A Web site I̵...
