Used mostly for cleaning out little knotholes that will be filled, often by epoxy tinted with lampblack, these devices can be purchased readily at American Science and Surplus.

Another garage sale purchase: A small box with a web stretcher, a tack hammer (with magnetic ends), a bag needle and this high quality tack remover. Brand name is “G. W. Mount.” Very effective as designed, and it also works well for staples.
