Maya has taken a shine to the Breyer series and needed a place to keep them. A little leather embellishment seemed just the ticket to enliven the blandness of the maple plywood. The boots are figured maple. The inside piece of the boot is horizontal grain in contrast to the outside piece, just for visual interest.
Maya is not a cowgirl but that could happen down the trail. Right now the broader interest is animals so I didn’t want to overdue the western theme, but just a bookcase wasn’t enough.
The case measures eighteen inches by eleven and a quarter. The clearance to the table is three and a half. The boots are nine and a half high with an additional inch and a half of leather.
