225 posts in 1244 days Location: Lakeland, Florida I'm an 81 year-old retired Architect who moved from South Florida to Lakeland, Florida in 1998. My interest in woodworking dates from Jr. High shop - and earlier, but I had no opportunity to have a shop until I retired. In 2003, I designed a freestanding combination double carport with attached 543 square foot shop with a nice view out onto a small lake. The shop floor plan is very unusual, but one that I find works out quite well. Except for a completed wall-workbench and a freestanding workbench currently under construction, most of my projects are small - a Thorsen side table, a psaltery, keepsake box, cheeseboard, table centerpiece, bandsaw boxes, wooden toys, wooden quilt squares, etc. - anything that strikes my fancy - and allows me to learn something new.
