Location: Oshkosh WI

Well, my name is Mike. I am 18 years old and just graduated high school last year. Two of my best friends are in the US Army and are going to be mechanics. I am making my way to become a construction worker, but first am going to go to school and learn how to become one. I enjoy all woodworking areas, even if i am only good at a few. I enjoy wood carving, wood turning, cabinetry, construction, and simple furniture making. I would like to learn how to create intarsia pieces, chip carving, relief carving, as well as hone my skills in the areas i know. My ultimate goal is to become a master carpenter.

Welcome to Lumberjocks. The projects are an inspiration, the information is priceless and the people are supportive. The only problem is, the site can get addictive.

God Bless

Welcome to LJ Mike. I admire you passion for wood working. You have a long road ahead of you. This is a great place to start your adventure. My advice to you would be, don’t be afraid to try new things and techniques. If you feel uncomfortable doing something, don’t do it, and ask someone who knows how to do it. Be safe Mike and good luck to you.

-- Have a great day.

Hi there,
Welcome to LumberJocks… I joined the site myself a little over a year ago and will give you fair warning, this site is VERY ADDICTIVE, VERY EDUCATIONAL, and VERY FUN…. so sit back, enjoy the ride and learn from the other LJ’s as they are a group of extremely talented people that are also very friendly…

Enjoy your time here on LJ and pass the word to any of your woodworking buddies about us…
