Briefly, I am a Scuba Instructor by trade, angler by choice and woodworker because I can't stand modern days flat packed furniture.
I can't remember when I started the journey with wood but it all started with carving fishing lures. As the progression of working with wood started, so does the urge for tools calls. First it was power tools to make things go faster, then as time goes by, machines do not satisfy. So now I am a machine aided hand tool guy. The passion is still with carving, and due to the fact that tools and machine are hard to come by in my neck of the wood; I enjoy building tools and "contraptions" too. Skill wise, I am a sponge, soaking up information, techniques and everything else. The more I learn the dumber I get, so I guess this will be something that I will be doing for the rest of life.

Thanks for the welcome guys. Still overwhelmed by all the info in here although I have been a lurker in this site for quite sometime. FB does a good job of showing what’s here without being here. ;)
