Welcome to the first episode of the Lumberjocks Interview Podcast. Our interview spotlights Debbie Roswell, known to Lumberjocks as MsDebbieP. Debbie is one of the most active Jocks on the site and always offers words of encouragement to fellow Lumberjocks. Debbie lives in Canada and is a Life Guide by profession and an artist by passion.

Check out some of her work on her website. When not in the workshop or on Lumberjocks.com, Debbie can be found spending time with her partner, Rick, her two children and their spouses, and her wonderful granddaughter.

About the host
Erik Pearson (ErikinColorado) joined Lumberjocks.com in March, 2007, and lives in Colorado with his wife and their 6-year-old son. Erik has been involved with woodworking for several years, although his woodworking efforts so far more closely resemble piles of sawdust. Recently he started The Novice Garage Woodworker, a video podcast documenting his quest to become a better woodworker.

Thanks Eric, that was great! I really enjoyed it and I totally agree with Debbie, one of the biggest attractions of the Jocks is the camaraderie. When I joined I was pleasantly surprised by the warm welcome, support and enthusiasm which greeted me, to say nothing of the scope of talent and ingenuity of the members.

I joined just before the Thorsen table challenge was published and it seemed like the site changed overnight! It exploded. But I still feel that the tone of the site that Debbie described in the interview has been maintained by the great people who make up the site.

Anyway, thanks for adding yet another facet to LJ.

I have a problem seeing the video, but can hear the audio. Wish I could have seen it, too. Very nice comments about the LumberJocks. Thanks for sharing.

I believe it is an audio only pod cast. (Although the video works great for me)

Is there supposed to be Video. It was great even without pictures.

I guess it reminded me about good old radio interviews. If it’s supposed to have video, I’ll try again.

Hey gang, no video, this is just audio. You guys are supposed to make your own videos of your shops. :-)

LOL. now everybody is expecting videos ;) This is “only” audio interview and Erik managed to do it over the Skype. I’ve changed ‘Click to Play This Episode’ to ‘Click to Listen This Episode (mp3 file)’ to avoid the confusion.

Thanks for nice feedback everybody! More cool interviews to come soon, am I right Erik?
