Hello Everyone!

My name is Lee Reese, I retired as of April 2011 and have had an interest in woodworking for many years, making small projects, such as shelves of varying materials, a pair of doors to cover a well opening in my old homes basement, candle holders, ting boxes and other items.

I just finished a 2 level deck, fabricating the rails (ripping, gluing and routing) and using mortise and tenon joinery at the corners where the post and rails connect.

My current project is a work bench based on Christopher Schwartz's English Bench design. I selected white oak for the top as maple was not available from the country mill where I purchased the raw stock. I started with about 3 1/4" white oak and as I do not have a jointer / Planer I hand planed to about 2 1/4". I don't think I want to do that again!!

My equipment is old and minimal and I will be replacing it as I can in the future.

I look forward to having access to all the information and experience regarding woodworking problems and machinery that I'm sure is available on this site.

Best Regards
Lee Reese
