On our way to get our dogs vaccinated, with my face buried in the latest issue of Wood Magazine, my fiance saw a sign that read “Woodworking Tools for Sale”. After a bit of research, I realized that I bought about $2,000 worth of tools for $590. I picked up a 12” Craftsman band saw, a Craftsman floor model drill press, a 12 1/2” Delta thickness planer and a Delta hallow chisel mortiser. The guy included two extra band saw blades, five different sized mortising chisels and an extra/new set of planer blades. While I had a 9’ bench top band saw and a 10” bench top drill drill press, the replacements and the two new tools should open up a whole new world to me. Well, once I get my shop wired, insulated and drywalled anyway.

Thanks for reading,
Kristoffer H.

I would say, “What a deal!!” Wow!! What a great way to stretch a dollar!!”

But really, what we all are saying is, “What a Girl!” I mean, lets face that facts. If it hadn’t been for her first seeing the sign and second knowing this would please you, you would have just been content to continue reading some article on how to sand with your non-prominent hand to rest the other. Yes , we all agree that the tools are great, but the real treasure was driving the car to start with. I know, cause I have one myself. Thaks for the story. Have fun with the shop.

Don’t mean to burst your bubble, but it’s not likely you would get any where near $2k for those tools on craigslist. But $590 still a good deal for all that. You’ll definitely be getting your moneys worth out of them.
