I’m a volunteer fire fighter and part of our district is Interstate 10, I see all sorts of PREVENTABLE accidents, its such a shame when a life is cut short by the actions of someone who just didn’t think it could happen to them. Believe me it CAN happen to you, please remember this the next time you get behind the wheel of your car, or get in a car with someone else!

Let’s make 2011 the year we ALL get home safely. Thanks

DON'T TEXT and DRIVE

Great Idea. They passed a law here in Ontario. No handheld devices while driving. Fined if you do (and get caught), and it is amazing the ones that STILL DO.

thanks james

unfortunately
as technology gets better and faster
it seems to make everyone
‘instant experts’

and they forget the long climb thru life
it takes to really learn

Thank you James!
I have 9 grown kids and 13 grand kids, and most of them if not all talk and text while driving. I can’t even have a conversation in my livingroom without a thousand interruptions while they HAVE to answer their text messages.
I expect to have “that heart breaking call” every day. One of my daughters thinks she can multitask at any time and especially when behind the wheel at 90 in a 55 zone on a two lane highway with her children in the car with her.
She scares the bejeezers out of me. And no! I will not ride with her.

Its getting to the point its safer to stay home. Its sad to see these kind of behaviors, and to have those that do it think you don’t have a right to flip them the one finger salute when they almost hit you.

Thanks for the post, hope everyone see’s and listens. If that does’t make the tears run I don’t know what will. My wife and would never text and drive but that doesn’t mean the next car on the road isn’t.
