« Part 7: Part 7 Part 8 of Jewelry box series Part 9: part 9 »

Hi All, back to the jewellery box after big work commitments.
After a time consuming exercise I finally finished the zebrano strip to the corners and edges.

The last veneering to be done is a band around the upper area on the inside of the box.

With all the veneering done there is going to be and endless amount of sanding. But been in the mood to cut wood I have decided to make the dividers and tray for the inside from American walnut.
First I made the lower dividers with raised ends as centralisers to centralise the top tray.

Way it will be in the box

then in the box

I will be putting felt to finish the inside.
Then I cut and glued the tray for the top level. Taping the pieces end on to each other makes the gluing of the pieces a lot easier.
