Well I have not been able to do any woodworking the past few weeks and I am having horrible withdrawals!
I have been working on my home trying to get years worth of repairs and up grades done before I leave town for several months. My job has me going to Melbourne, Australia which is just under 8,000 miles away. The good news is that I hope to meet some Australian Lumber Jocks while I am there. Dang, I really do need a daily dose of sawdust but it can not be helped for a while. Once I get a computer hooked up “down under” I will be back to read and admire the many wonderful projects of all the LJ’s here.

Now aren’t we lucky! The only advice I can give you from personal experience is….DO NOT DRINK WITH THESE GUYS. THEY WILL HURT YOU. And feed you one of their local snakes for fun. lol These guy…excuse me…blokes have a gene to protect themselves that neither you nor I were blessed with. When you step into that ring, protect yourself at all times. lol Have a great trip and bring home a lot of even greater memories. Rand

LOL with Welding Rod and he’s so right. Do not be lulled into the notion that you’re one of them…you’ll never make it out alive:)

I am now here in Melbourne, Australia and its a marvolous place! I am not a city guy but this city I can see many adventures in. I will try and see LJ’s while I am here. Australia is a big place, about the size of the US and the go to another place one has to fly, sort of like living in New York and wanting to go to Arazona. Winter is just getting ready to start here…
