« Part 5: Shelving Matters Part 6 of My Little Shop Progress series no next part

Little bit at a time. At least that is what I keep telling myself. Slowly but surely I’ll get this shop into a place where I can, “Just go out and make something.” I few pics I forgot to take would be my little dust collector areas I put in for my Lathe and Table saw. Just something to make hooking up my mobile unit a little quicker. I’ll get some pics for next time.

Here is a quick simple corner tray so I had some place to throw my bits. (better organization of this will come later)

Now for the beginning of the outfeed/work table. Just some basic supplies of plywood and 2×4’s. I used my Kreg pocket to do alot of the hard work. I decided to make sure the 2×4’ were squared up, so I ran them through the planer first.

Getting the top finished up, I pulled out my levelers I’m using to figure out the length that the legs need to be.

Finally turned right side up. Very sturdy table. I need to put the stretchers and shelf for underneath. I’m planning on putting a hard board on top and maybe bordering with some old left over oak flooring w/chamfered edge. I’m thinking of putting a side vise on somewhere, but not sure if I’m going to do it or not.

Good to see all that is happening in your shop. I know the feeling, it is a slow process… Won’t be long and you will have it whipped into shape!

That’s going to be pretty nice when you get it done.
I’m guessing the next thing will be a roll around base for your planner?
I like making my own benches and bases.
Gives me a chance to get better and it say’s a woodworker works here.
